What if the only thing standing between a young person and their dream was someone willing to teach them?
ONE SKILL is a cinematic, youth-led short film about unseen potential, forgotten dreams, and the life-changing power of mentorship. It tells the story of young people with big dreams but no clear path, asking one simple yet urgent question:
How many dreams are waiting for someone to say, "Come, let me show you"?
In this first teaser...
A teenage girl lies in an open field, determined to write her first book. One by one, the pages she writes are crumpled and tossed aside as self-doubt begins to silence her dream.
Elsewhere, another teenager sits quietly in a park, speaking her heart out loud.
"I've always wanted to learn to do my makeup... but then who’s gonna teach me?"
Two different dreams.
One shared struggle.
Not a lack of passion.
Not a lack of talent.
The same unanswered question: who’s gonna teach me?
ONE SKILL is a reminder that we do not have a problem of the absence of potential, but the absence of enough mentors.
More than a short film, ONE SKILL is a call to every parent, mentor, teacher, creative, and community leader. It reminds us that behind every dream is a young person waiting for guidance, opportunity, and someone willing to say,
"Come, I'll show you how."
What makes this film even more special is that ONE SKILL was directed, produced, filmed, and brought to life by an all-youth and teen-led cast and production crew through the Skills2Stars Foundation.
A proof that when young people are trusted with responsibility, equipped with skills, and allowed to create, they don't just participate; they lead.
This is more than a film. This is the beginning of a movement.
